To become EFT certified participants need to undertake three training events in chronological order:
Externship Training
Prerequisites: Participants MUST be qualified mental health professionals or be in training to become qualified. Participants need to be legally allowed to practice as a mental health professional in the country in which they are practising.
This four-day training is the first step towards becoming a Certified EFT Therapist. It is followed by the four-day Core Skills 1 training and then the four-day Core Skills 2 training.
The Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship gives practicing therapists a globally successful model from which to guide their therapeutic work with couples, individuals and families. Evidence-based and well-researched, Emotionally Focused Therapy is a therapeutic practice which has developed alongside theories of adult attachment and bonding.
